In the Thoroughbred industry, trust is the hallmark of the role of the consignor, the person who sells a horse on behalf of its owner at public auction. When you entrust your horse to Warrendale Sales, we pledge to work with you to present the best horse possible at auction, while we handle all required paperwork. We are the in-between and the go-between between you, the seller and the buyer of your horse—much like a real estate agent would handle the sale of a home. Warrendale adheres to the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association Code of Ethics for Thoroughbreds Auctions, which was developed by the Sales Integrity Program Task Force. We also are a member of the Consignors & Commercial Breeders Association.

The Team

Kitty Taylor

Owner

Kitty grew up in a military family and attended Williams Woods College in Fulton, Missouri. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in Equestrian Science, she spent many years working the sales for the likes of Lee Eaton, Ben P Walden Jr., and Tyson Gilpin. After relocating from Camden, South Carolina to Lexington, she worked as the director of sales for Vinery before starting Warrendale Sales in 2002. Her passion, knowledge,  and experience have served her well as she developed Warrendale Sales into a consistently top 10 consignment company.

Hunter Simms

Partner and Director of Bloodstock Services

Hunter, a native of Lexington, KY, became interested in the Thoroughbred business at a young age while attending Keeneland race track on a regular basis. During college, he worked as a yearling foreman at Arthur Hancock's Stone Farm in Paris, KY. After graduating from the University of Mississippi with a bachelor's degree in marketing, Hunter went back to Stone where he worked as yearling manager for four years before joining Warrendale Sales. As a partner in Warrendale Sales and Director of Bloodstock services, Hunter is a vital part in working with clients and their equine portfolios.

Mandy Crider

Sales Accounting

Mandy grew up in Northeast Ohio riding and showing sport horses.  Upon graduation she attended Texas A&M University and was captain of the varsity equestrian team.  She received a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and moved to Kentucky to further her knowledge of the horse industry.  Mandy worked for ten years in the equine health industry before joining Warrendale Sales.  She now handles all the accounting for the company, both sales and corporate.

Jill Gordon

Sales Coordinator

Jill hails from Texas, and at a young age fell in love with horses. After showing sport horses competetively across the country, she decided to pursue her passion and attended the University of Kentucky in 2009 to complete a bachelor’s in Equine Science with business and marketing minors. While in college, Jill met Kitty and began working the Thoroughbred sales circuit. As her passion grew for the Thoroughbred industry, she spent time prepping and breaking yearlings, and worked under the Jockey Club’s ‘America’s Best Racing’ initiative. Jill now serves as the Sales Coordinator for Warrendale Sales, fusing her passion of horses and attention to detail towards the continued success of the consignment.
